Our Quilts
Our exquisite quilts are skillfully hand-crafted by a select few local Amish and Mennonite women who have perfected their quilting skills over many years, and have a natural eye for colour and design. Meticulously pieced and/or appliquéd and hand-quilted, each quilt is a product of many hours of love and labour--the average quilt taking 700 hours to complete--and traditionally quilted by skilled family members and good friends, with much laughter and “goot” times! The intrinsic beauty, outstanding quality, and historic value of Perth and Waterloo County quilts have long held the respect of collectors and admirers throughout the world. Every quilt is a superbly handcrafted work of art, and a true piece of Canadian history.
We always offer a variety of patterns and a full spectrum of beautiful colours and fabrics. Most of the quilts that we have in stock are queen size, and measure about 106 inches long by 92 inches wide, which will fit a queen or double size bed. Some king and twin sizes are also available.
